Wacky Witches of Coven Oldenwilde

Asheville, NC

Some wacky news from our favorite mountain town--Asheville, North Carolina. Seems that a few wacked out witches have been causing trouble for filmmaker Giuli Schacht by brewing up some apparently false evidence about her breaking into and robbing their house--which they insisted was also their place of worshop. Coincidentally, a new law was inacted in North Carolina just 5 days before the accusation, that made it a felony to rob a place of worship.

Steve Rasmussen, aka, Diuvei, and Dixie Deerman, aka, Lady Passion, calling themselves the High Priestess and High Priest of the Oldenwilde Coven in Asheville, produced a eyewitness that described the robber as a 20 year old blonde girl (Giuli Schacht is a 50) and a tape recording that appeared to be doctored that attorney James Wilson suggested to the jury was, at best, "fishy."

The jury was out less than five minutes to find Ms Schacht innocent. It will be interesting to see what the witches conjure up next and how the DA will justify the use of tax payer's money in this wacky case. See full story at JackMoesBlog.

Students Get Sick from their Homework

Birminham, AL

Students at Smith Middle School in Birminham, AL might not be complaining so much about the food in their lunch room after getting sick from their homework assignment.

Michaelle Chapman from the school, said that students were assigned to write about their favorite food and how to prepare it. The students could also bring the dish in for a taste test it they desired. Sixteen students opted to bring in food and eight of the students got sick after tasting it with intestinal problems and vomiting.

Health officials have collected samples in hopes of discovering what caused the health problems.

Ring Turns up in Bass Fish Belly after 21 years

Buna, Texas

Ok this one is wack and wierd. It seems that twenty one years ago, Joe Richardson lost his engraved class ring while on a fishing trip on Lake Sam Rayburn. A fisherman caught a large bass last week and while cleaning it discovered the tarnished but otherwise perfectly preserved ring.

After, tracking down Joe Richardson on the internet, the fisherman discovered the Joe lost the ring about two weeks after his mother paid a few hundred dollars for it, and was mightily displeased by its loss. Now married and living near Houston in Buna, Texas, Joe decided not to clean the ring but to leave it as it was found as a display.

The fisherman prefers not to reveal his identity about the ring that didn't get away--perhaps he was fishing without a license?
